Hi… I’m Bushra
I’m a certified Cat Mom

In another life, I’d be an event decorator… I love planning parties!
Brow laminations are my favorite service to do (and get!)
my drink of choice is Yemeni Chai
Where did it all begin?
I’ve had a love for artistry at a very young age. I was always drawing, painting, & taking photos. I’ve worked as a photographer since graduating high school and it’s still something I love to do when I’m not doing makeup & skin!
Working as a photographer in a corporate setting wasn’t allowing my creativity to run free, so instead I became a freelance photographer and got a job at Sephora to fuel my makeup addiction. Being in that environment exposed me to new techniques and product knowledge that encouraged me to do it professionally. I’ve been a Makeup Artist for 7 years now & every session brings me so much joy. I’m so grateful to be in a field where I can utilize the creativity that’s been instilled in me from such a young age.
What’s your favorite thing about makeup?
Where do I begin? I love playing with different tones, textures, color theory, and new techniques. I love that every face I touch is a new experience. I love that I get to encompass your natural beauty in a way that makes you feel your most confident. And I absolutely love being a part of your story. The art, the smiles, the tears, the laughs… it all motivates me to keep going.
What sparked becoming an Esthetician?
I was always fascinated by how your skincare affects the way your makeup performs. I found myself doing a deep dive on different ingredients and helping people with their routines constantly.
I decided that my Google searches weren’t enough & wanted to further my career. I got my education at Mason Anthony School of Esthetics and have now been an Esthetician for 2 years!
Being able to make people confident whether they wear makeup or not is something that I will always hold close to my heart.
What inspired you open Zeena Beauty Studio?
Zeena Beauty Studio is my light at the end of a tunnel. I’ve been in environments where my identity and values were not welcome — to a point where I was worried I wouldn’t work as an esthetician anywhere else. I looked high and low for places that lived up to my standards with no luck. Instead of letting that be my story, I took charge of my fate. I created a space where everyone can feel at home and I can provide the very best care for my clients.
Where are you located?
My spa is located in Dublin, OH, where I offer a variety of esthetic services.
I’ve done makeup all around Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Michigan, and Pittsburgh. I’ve even gone as far as Connecticut and Texas — I’m open to traveling wherever you need me to be!
